Back when I started playing a little over 4 years ago, getting to Lion's Arch was a pretty big deal, so the first time I stepped out of that cave into Kryta was definitely the wow moment for me. It was either that, or finally beating thunderhead keep and seeing the awesome and different enemies waiting in perdition rock.

I actually watched a friend play and that is what got me into GW. He was playing in the desert in prophecies at the time and was running through an oasis... right there I thought "Wow! Beautiful graphics! Must have!" So I went out and got myself a copy... and then I ended up in pre-searing! Even better >.< Then I complained to my friend that I didn't know how to set my attributes... that I wasn't sure what kind of elementalist I wanted to be... and he said those magical words "it doesn't matter, you can reset your points in any outpost"... Then came post-searing ascalon. Nuff sed.

My next wow moment came in Cantha during the beta test weekend. The hills and the green and everything... so great! And I definitely have to agree with any and everyone who said the burning forest in EotN! That was a great moment, especially when the lighting changed! : O And some of the snowy bits in EotN.

My first wow moment was 3 days in the game. The friend who talked me into GW said at day #1 that there exist ultra-rare items, colored "green". Well, on my 3rd day in the Plains of Jarin, Suneh Stormbringer dropped "The Stormbringer" for me, the perfect item for a newb Elementalist like me.

The second wow moment came during vanquishing the Jade sea areas, when I took a breath and looked around. It is all so beautiful, so quiet. All these waves are flowing, yet standing still. But as they could come back into life every second. In between the trapped ships and the sandy islands, where the sun is burning hot. This place is peace.

The third wow moment was defeating Mallyx in the 4th try.The team kept together and continuously improved the builds, but I couldn't believe my eyes when Mallyx finally went down in less than one minute and even nobody was dead.

First wow moment was going over the wall in pre-sear, seeing the charr rangers and the cataclysm cauldron.

Second wow moment was entering post-sear ascalon "wow this place is dead". lol.

Third wow moment was entering kryta through griffons mouth, like most people.

Then getting my first ever set of 15k armour. Elite gladiator. Damn I was sexy back then. Thank you W/Mo Griffon farming

For me it was getting my first character up to Yak's Bend. Heck, I STILL get a thrill when I finish Nolani Academy on a new character and arrive in the mountains. It's like "Yes, finally we are moving on in the story". I love the Shiverpeaks and seeing all that lovely snow was such a relief after the gray-and-red color scheme of Ascalon. -.- Stupid Charr ruined everything...

Had a few but the other day I pugged the Gate of Madness ZM.

Ele left at portal wraiths. Warrior with Shiro stance removal then goes AFK.
We just about manage to take Shiro down then the para and necro run to the wrong shrine and die. So me (prot), the healer, spirit spammer and ranger attempt to clear the shrines with the Lich chasing us all over the shop.

Warrior then comes back with, I quote, "sorry guys, my dying grandad needed to talk to me". Cue "why the **** are you playing GW when your grandad is dying?!"

Anyway, we clear the shrines, rez the necro and para, and destroy the Lich in a few seconds.

It's never simple is it...

5 min after playing GW for the first time. Presearing, i got to the river with gwens flute.

I looked at the scenery like 5 min going damn those graphics are fine! (this was 4 years ago on a bad computer)

But i generally get a wow moment every time i continue in the main quest line and enter a new area for the first time.

I'd agree with that.

The Jade Sea has some very nice visual areas, Rhea's crater being one of them. Always have a bit of a soft spot for Yak's Bend as well.

Seeing Kryta for the first time, was so eager to get to lush green landscapes again!

And also, whilst doing the explorer title, the Maguuma Jungles deepest reaches, some of it is quite extravagant.

The first time i played through prophecies and factions was full of big wows. not that nightfall and eotn weren't great, just that i was used to the kinda graphical standard that was supplied

oh and the first time i saw kryta... had been in ascalon while talking to a friend and she told me how amazing it was, full of beaches. was awesome.

First time playing the game, appeared in pre ascalon with chat window scrolling up and people everywhere and everything looked stunning! Later on the first time I used Ignite arrows....and then Fire Storm!!! The catacombs were pretty amazing and the first time over the wall, damn those charr were badass.

Then when you get through the academy and those fateful words.... 3 years later. I couldn't believe it was the same place. Big wow.

Wow what a noob Rurik was lol.

Then the usual, reaching Kryta etc. Oh wow! first time through Gates of Kryta, went down the backway by Oink. When they all popped, I screamed like a girl and we just made it back up the hill

For me the biggest I think was The Falls. Long before Mox, I would stand there in first person view and say 'wow'.

Finishing the prophecies storyline was fairly huge too. Back then we had no heroes or flags, just dumbass henchies who did whatever they felt like it seemed. And first time through, my friend and I played the whole game just the 2 of us with 2, then 4, then 6 henchies. Took lots of concentration, careful pulling and aggro control, but was a very satisfying feeling to beat (or even reach sometimes ) each mission. That is what is missing from the game these days.

Oh and of course I am still playing the same game 3.5 years later. Pretty big wow.

After completing the "Villany" quest, I was "Wow! Check out that horizon!" Spent several minutes taking screens. Lots of "wows", but that one just blew me away.
